a major shift from the depressed mood in the last post,
i was greeted by a piece of good news when i arrived at work today!
the mother of one of my student thanked me for the drastic change in her son’s reading habits ever since he started attending classes with me.
in the past,
he was a non-reader.
he can’t read most words,
therefore he hates reading and never goes to the library at all.
but now,
he loves to borrow books from the library,
and even often bug the mother to bring him to National Library to borrow books!
the mom told me she was so shocked at the change that she was even doubting if he was really reading,
or whether he was simply flipping through the pictures.
but when asked to retell the story,
the boy was able to narrate every single detail from the start to the end!
!!!
i’m so proud of the boy,
and nontheless,
(even though it might sound really self conceited)
i’m quite proud of myself too.
yay!
and thanks to this,
working on a saturday don’t seem so unbearable anymore!
